Tauck River Cruising delivers premium, intimate river travel across Europe's waterways on custom-built riverboats. Operating in accordance with European maritime authorities and international health guidelines, Tauck maintains high standards of shipboard hygiene, air filtration, and guest safety across its fleet.
- Fresh Air Filtration Systems: Staterooms and public indoor venues on board Tauck riverboats are equipped with air conditioning systems that continuously cycle 100% fresh, non-recirculated outdoor air into all interior spaces.
- Sanitation and Disinfection Protocols: Public lounges, dining venues, and guest suites undergo daily deep cleaning and surface sanitization. Touchless hand-sanitizing stations are situated at all shipboard entrances, dining rooms, and gangways.
- Medical Response and Regional Care: Onboard first-aid trained personnel, Cruise Directors, and ship officers manage daily guest health needs and emergency response. Because European river ships navigate close to shore, onshore medical assistance and regional emergency facilities are accessible at all ports along the itinerary.
- Mobility and Physical Requirements: Guests must be able to navigate stairs, narrow gangways, uneven cobblestone streets, and walking tours independently or travel with a companion able to assist them. Tauck Directors are responsible for overall group logistics and cannot provide dedicated individual assistance.
- Age Eligibility and Family Sailings: Minimum age restrictions apply on Tauck river cruises. Standard itineraries generally require guests to be at least 12 years old, while dedicated Tauck Bridges family river cruises accommodate children ages 4 and older.
